Cyclist In Critical Condition After Early Morning Collision Vancouver March 27th A 32 year old female cyclist is in critical

al condition in hospital and the Vancouver Police Collision Investigation Unit is investigating after a collision in the intersection of East 12th Avenue and Windsor Street earlier today. Shortly before 7:30 a.m. police and emergency services responded to a call of a collision in the intersection of East 12th Ave and Windsor St between a car and a cyclist. At this early stage of the investigation it appears that the collision occurred as a result of the cyclist, who was travelling northbound on Windsor St, entered East 12th Ave and was struck by an eastbound car. The cyclist was rushed to hospital where she remains in critical condition. The driver of the car was uninjured. Neither alcohol nor speed are considered factors in the collision. The intersection has a pedestrian/cyclist-controlled crossing light to control east/west traffic on E 12th Ave and it is currently unknown what phase the light was. Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have seen the collision to contact the Vancouver Police Collision Investigation Unit at 604-717-3012.
