_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Objective To assess the current conditions within Calpolys ASI Childrens Center as well as devise and

implement a solution to improve the current conditions. Assessment 1) The ASI Childrens Center is divided into several age groups and departments for the children 2) The stakeholders for the project range from the staff, to the children, to the parents, to the maintenance workers and the financial department at Calpoly 3) The behaviour of the children has the largest impact on the other stakeholders 4) The center lacks storage which inhibits the children from developing skills for cleaning up and forces more work for all of the stakeholders Results Storage was added inside as well as an additional external 8 foot by 8 foot shed to replace the current 3 foot by 2 foot shed The children show improved cleanup times which lessons the work on the staff The children now have a larger role in cleaning up and have taken more responsibility The shed and concrete foundation are still in place 3 years later The children have more space to learn and play as a result of the organization improvements made to the site.
