Sonnet for Luke and Sam By Santiago Sevilla

The waves embrace with grace the sailing boat, The wind blows gentle over the ocean blue, Islands far away, surrounded by that moat, Are castles of coral, expecting you.

The monsters that inhabit the deep sea, To watch your passage, all come afloat; The lofty birds, like flying kites appear, Ensnared to you, along the aquatic road.

Those one eyed giants on the pebbled shore, Raise high their rocks, at you afar, to throw, Sweet the sirens sing, which you should ignore,

To steer your boat, count only a crew of four. How do you know, to where you want to go? For you will open God, the western door!
