    SLOGAN CONTEST WIN A $125 CASH PRIZE!

    WHO ARE WE?


    Partnership for a Better Roseland (PBR) is a coalition of 9 nonprofit organizations [Demoiselle 2 Femme, NFP, African American Family Association, Chicago Family Health Center, Greater Roseland Chamber of Commerce, Healthcare Consortium of Illinois, Human Resource Development Institute (HRDI), Roseland Community Hospital, South Side Help Center, and Teach Them How] and Northwestern Universitys Alliance for Research in Chicagoland Communities, whose mission is to coordinate the efforts of community and faith-based organizations to improve the health, safety and wellness of youth in the greater Roseland community.

    WHAT ARE WE DOING?

    We are preparing for 600 high school freshmen at six participating high schools (which serve the Greater Roseland area) to complete a survey on youth violence. The results from the survey will help to create a community-wide response to reduce schoolrelated youth violence.

    WHAT DO WE NEED AND WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?

    We need a slogan or name for a community campaign which will encourage students to participate in the survey. So think really hard about a phrase that will catch the attention of teens. This survey is about teens having a voice in creating solutions to reduce youth violence.

    WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

    Teens ages 13-18 who live in the Greater Roseland community or attend one of the following high schools: Corliss, Fenger, Carver, Gwendolyn Brooks, Percy L. Julian and Morgan Park.

    WHATS THE PRIZE AND WHEN IS THE DEADLINE?

    Grand Prize- $125.00, 2nd Place- $75.00, 3rd Place- $50.00 ALL PRIZES ARE CASH! To enter, complete the entry form below. All entries must be received before midnight on Wednesday, July 11, 2012.
