Introduction
Kota is located on the banks of Chambal river in the Royal state of Rajasthan. It is the third largest city of Rajasthan. Kota is the home of Kota stone, sand stone, Kota Sarees, kachori, and coachings.

MY VISIT TO KOTA
My Uncle Mr. Vinod Bansal with his family shifted there 2 years ago due to his transfer. I went to Kota to meet them. He had two beautiful daughters whom I love very much. I spent a week with them and enjoyed the trip.

The Journey
We went their by Train. We went to Ambala by Bus and then took a train to Delhi. The train to Kota was from Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station. We took an auto to go from New Delhi railway station to Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station. On the way, I had a glimpse of Red Fort, Himanyus Tomb & various markets of New Delhi. We reached Kota in the Evening.

Places of Visit
1. Maharao Madho Singh Museum
Situated in the old palace, the museum has a collection of Rajput miniature paintings of the Kota school, sculptures, frescoes and armoury. The museum also houses a repository of artistic items used by the Kota rulers.

2. City Mall
City Mall is the first mall of Kota, Mall has Big Bazaar, Dominos, McDonalds, four screen Fun Cinemas, Cafe Coffee Day, Food Court, Subway, Crosswords and many apparels showrooms.

We played some indoor games there and had snacks. I took a ride on toy train and enjoyed. I purchased some Kota namkeens and mithais there. We had Ice cream and found it really delicious.

3. Rana Pratap Sagar Dam


It is built on the Chambal River at Rawatbhata in Rajasthan for irrigation. The direct benefit from the dam is hydropower generation of 172 MW.

We saw the various machines working there to generate electricity. It has a beautiful scenery and is a great picnic spot also.

We had lunch and evening snacks there. I played with my cousions and her friends there and enjoyed very much.

Climate
Kota has a climate with high temperatures throughout the year. Summers are long, hot and dry, starting in late March and lasting till the end of June. The monsoon season follows with comparatively lower temperatures, The brief, mild winter starts in late November and lasts until the last week of February. This is the best time to visit Kota.
