AUTHENTIC MATERIAL 1 The Colour Song (To the tune of "This Old Man")

Red, red, red, touch your head. Blue, blue, blue, tie your shoe. Brown, brown, brown, touch the ground. White, white, white, take a bite. Black, black, black, touch your back. Purple, purple, purple, draw a circle. Pink, pink, pink, give a wink. Gray, gray, gray, shout hurray!

1. Teacher enter the class and greets the students. 2. Teacher tell the class that he/she want to teach the students to sing a song titled The Colour Song. 3. Teacher gives the lyrics to all of the students in the class. 4. Teacher tell the students that he/she will demontrate on how to sing it. 5. Teacher ask the student to listen carefully and refer the lyrics given. 6. Teacher play the music and sing the song loudly so that every students hear it. 7. Then, teacher ask the students to sing the song with the the help from him/her. 8. Teacher ask the students what can they get from the song, 9. Teacher explain to the students that he/she want to teach colour on that day 10. Skill applied in the activity is listening and speaking.

PROCEDURE FOR REMEDIAL ACTIVITY

1. After the students finished singing the song, teacher ask them to sit in their seat respectively. 2. Teacher tell the the student that he/she want to give a worksheet to everyone. 3. Teacher tell the students that the worksheet must be answered individually. 4. Teacher distribute the worksheet. 5. The worksheet is an activity that require students to find the words given from the randomly arranged words. 6. Students must circle the word that they found until all the word given found. 7. Students must use the colour pencil according to the words that they want to circle. ( if they found pink words, they must circle it by using pink colour pencil. 8. Time given for this activity is 5 minutes maximum. 9. After all the students finish the activity, the teacher discuss the answer with the students. 10. Skill applied in this activity is reading.

Remedial activity Find and circle all the words given. Use colour pencil according to the word found.

PROCEDURE FOR ENRICHMENT ACTIVITY

1. After the students finished singing the song, teacher ask them to sit in their seat respectively. 2. Teacher tell the the student that he/she want to give a worksheet to everyone. 3. Teacher tell the students that the worksheet must be answered individually. 4. Teacher distribute the worksheet. 5. In the worksheet, students must find the correct match between the picture and its colour. 6. Then, the students must create a simple sentence from the picture. For example, the students matched a picture of an apple to the word red, then the sentence that created by the students must include the word red apple. 7. The students must answer all the questions given in 10 minutes. 8. When all the students finished it, the teacher discuss with them. 9. Skill applied in this activity is writing and reading.

Teacher help the students analyze the picture. 5. The student must discuss in their group by using English language. 6. Teacher ask the students what colour they see from the picture. 7. Teacher ask the students to list down all the colour in the picture in a piece of

paper.
8. Teacher tell the students that group that get all the colour listed correct in a

given time will get a reward. 9. After the given time had finished, the teacher and the students discuss about the answer. 10. Skills applied in the activity are writing and speaking.

PROCEDURE FOR REMEDIAL ACTIVITY

1. Teacher ask the students to divide their group into two pair. 2. Teacher give the worksheet to every pair. 3. Teacher tell the students that the worksheet given must be answered in a pair. 4. Every pair must colour the shape according to the colour label. 5. Teacher can show the students how to answer it by referring to one example. 6. The time given is about 10 minutes. 7. After all the pair finished the task, teacher will discuss and show them the right answer. 8. The pairs work that get the highest mark will be in the English Corner at the back of the class for appreciation.

PROCEDURE FOR ENRICHMENT ACTIVITY

1. Teacher give a coloured card to everyone in the class. 2. Then, teacher ask the students to sit a group of four according to the colour of the card they get. If they get a red card, then they are in the red group. 3. Teacher distiubute an envelope containing a board game, a dice and 4 diffrent coloured coin as a marker. 4. Teacher explains to the students how to play the board game. 5. If the students do not understand, the teacher must demonstrate it in front of the class. 6. Time given for the activity is 15 minutes. 7. If the group finished early, they can play it again so that they will not feel bored and disturb other group.

Enrichment activity Instructions : be the first to the goal. Move according to number that you get when throwing the dice. If you reach the coloured box, you must name the colour of the box and spell it. If wrong, you must turn back 5 box, if correct you can stay on that box. If you can answer bonus question correctly, move 1 box forward. Play in your group of 4.
