Lesson Objective: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to: i) Say the phonemes /p/ correctly ii) Segment and blend the words correctly. iii) Combine the picture puzzles and segment and blend the sounds together.

Set Induction 1. Teacher shows some objects with the phonemes /p/ and say them out loud. 2. Pupils repeat after the teacher. Presentation 1. Teacher introduces the phonemes /p/ by showing the letter card and say the sounds. 2. Teacher shows pictures that begin with the /p/ sound (pen, pot, pin and pill). 3. Teacher says the words of each picture and pupils repeat. 4. Teacher pastes the pictures on the board. 5. Teacher pastes the cards below the picture. 6. Teacher segment and blend the words with action and pupils follow.
Practice 1. Teacher distributes the picture cards and letter cards to each group. 2. In groups, pupils are asked to paste the letter card to the picture. 3.
