Intercede with Us for the Muslim World!

Jumaa Prayer
for the Muslims of Africa and beyond

May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us, that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations (Ps 67:1-2). The Jews were blessed of God for a reason: that His ways may be known on earth and his salvation among all nations. As believers, we are His holy nation and His representatives to all peoples. Pray this week that the Lord will shine through us so that Muslims can see His love for them.

Today's Prayer Requests: From Students and Alumni

COTE D'IVOIRE: An alumnus who pastors in an area of Abidjan often referred to as Colombia because of the drugs and crime, shares this request: Pray for the salvation of the inhabitants of this area, who are mostly Muslims; the vices in this milieu are sexual depravity, drugs, crime, and smoking. Pray that the converts from Islam in our midst will receive the spiritual and social help needed for their growth in the faith. It's not easy for them, as they are under all kinds of pressure from relatives. Members of his church meet every Friday for prayer and training. They hold evangelistic meetings in the Malinke language to reach this largely Muslim tribe. The national church has a department for reaching Muslims and helping them to grow in their faith. Pray that the Lord will guide these efforts. LIBERIA: An alumnus who is planting a church in Liberia says, Pray that the church consider the Muslims of Liberia, as they need the Lord, and that God will bring people who can show the church in Liberia ways to bring the Muslims to Jesus. Pray that the Lord will give these believers a burden for their neighbors and wisdom in approaching and reaching them.

In the News
IRAN: Please continue to pray for Irano-American pastor Saeed Abedini. He and his lawyer appeared in court on Monday, but since that first day he has not been allowed to attend his own trial. He has been refused bail. You can read more at http://bit.ly/WfI2bu and follow the news on the Facebook page Pray for Pastor Saeed Abedini. Pray for God's peace and perfect will for our brother and for comfort and strength for his wife and children.

From Global Initiative*

Pray for the 500,000 Muslims of Australia to hear witness of Jesus Christ. Muslims make up 2.2% of Australia's population (Pentecostal believers, 1.1%), and the number is growing due to high birth rates and immigration. Muslims from at least 60 countries have settled around the country. Saudi Arabia has much influence here; each year 10,000 Saudis study in the universities, and Saudi Arabia is building mosques and financing tertiary institutions. Pray that the Father would sent workers from the Pentecostal and evangelical churches there into this harvest field.

For Muslim Women**

Please pray for workers who serve Muslim women held captive in sex trade contextsthat the Holy Spirit will fill them with boldness and wisdom for their work. Pray that the light of Christ will invade the lives of these Muslim women with Love that reveals its source and finds prompt acceptance in their hearts.
