There is half naked women in the shots, the focus changes from the foreground to the background just so the audience can see both all of the women within camera shot. Clearly this video is aimed at teenage and young boys/men. The majority of teenage boys ages 15-20 care about are cars, girls and good music and this delivers all three.

This shot though it being a wide shot/mid shot it is an example of Laura Mulveys Male gaze it pans slowly to the bottom of the screen up. This type of shot is not typically set on men it is meant for women, but this is what draws in and attracts the female audience the artist, Taio Cruz. A wide shot is used to show all the elements of this video that make it typical of its generic conventions cars and girls. It keeps the audience intrigued and wanting to watch more. The roles seem to be revered throughout the entire video. The male gave should be on a female and stereotypically the mechanics should be males. This is where the artist has created a male fantasy world.

This is long shot furthering the idea of his fantasy world, a girl on each arm whilst others work seductively around you.

This mid shot was only in it for a split second, representing the audiences eyes throughout the whole video, the typical stereotype is for the boys to not be focusing on him whatsoever just the beautiful women, so Taio can make this as unrealistic and fantasy-like as he wants. This is a mid shot of women using heavy metal machinery.

Throughout the entire music video there is a wide variety of close ups and mid shots and even long shots, they are all in there via jump cuts that goes with the beat of the music, this creates a smooth flow between the shots and keeps the eyes focused and watching what will appear next. Furthermore among the fantasy Cruz has created, he managed to squeeze is a mini concert full of his adoring female mechanic fans. The whole sequence is using a hand held camera and plenty of canted shots to give the audience the feel and idea as if they are one of those screaming girls in the concert.

Makes the audience feel like part of the video. This is Uses and Gratification escapism theory.

Every man likes to think girls and their friends play around in the bath and blow bubbles at each other. This is not the case but in a male dream fantasy world anything is possible and Taio has made this possible. The shot being used is a mid shot.
