ladies. Please encourage your quilting friends to consider coming to a meeting as your guest. I am sure they will be excited by the energy and want to join us. We have already had our first Charity Workshop and a computer class to help members become more comfortable with the internet. Plans for the future hold lots of interesting and fun events. We will be having workshops, lectures, challenges, social events, trips, do charity work and fundraising, and maybe even a Quilt show in the next 2 years! There is no limit to what is possible.

Quilting Highlights Guild: Started the Guild in 1990. Learn to quilt at GJC in Greensboro in 1980. Have been addicted to the quilting ever since. In 1995, started teaching at Vance Granville Community College and is still teaching two classes per week. Favorite Quilt Pattern: 8 point star Quilting Enjoyment: Piecing by hand Favorite Quilt Author & Teacher: Jenny Beyer. Have all of her published books Cherished Quilt: 50-40 Fight in memory of my husband Earl Peggy says quilting is my joy and life saver. It keeps me focused. Making charity quilts for children makes me very happy!

Charity work has been a key part of the Guilds mission since its inception. Our charity work continues with monthly workshops held the last Tuesday of the month at Miss Lous from 10:00-1:00. Plan to join us on Tuesday, March 26th. We will find a task for everyone, no matter your talent. So mark your calendar now!

Computer Class
In February, the Perry Library provided computer training to guild members. Now we have a number of experts in our group who can help train the rest of us!
