Computer Technology Committee

To develop a technology plan for St. Thomas' Anglican Church and to advise vestry with respect to the implementation of the plan. Tim Tanasichuk Sandy Sereda David Hall

Membership

Objectives

To establish short-term (6 month) needs for computer hardware and software.

To establish mid-term (2 yeari needs for computer hardware and software.

To be aware of the possible long-term ( 5 year 1 needs for computer hardware and software in relation to St. Thomas ' Strare~ic Plan 20032008.

To address the need for both internet and local (password) security. To address the necessity for networking in terms of computers. printers. other peripheral hardware as well as internet access.

To address the need for a back up system. To address the need for ongoing technicai support. To be aware of budgetary constraints and to investigate charitable donation programs in order to keep the cost of purchases to a minimum.

To weigh the benefits of leasing vs purchasing equipment.
