Executive Summary
Our new Work shop named Rootless people has been analyzed to rise the development of poor people whose have no shelter in this earth to live a healthy life. Before that each member of earth finder was invited to put forward ideas concerning a problem under consideration. Finally we choose the above one.
While preparing the work shop plan we have adopted several strategies to meet the goal, to meet potential problems that may confront and ways to solve them. Here we have included all elements related to the topic and tried to cover all the aspect of this plan. In our work shop we have discussed about various problems for rootless, tried to focus the main barrier for standard of living, tried to find out potential cause and effect relation ship with fish bone and also tried to provide all possible solution for quality education. To make our work shop successful we used technical tools such as statistical process Gantt chart, made population survey of 100 students, set a face to face conversation, and based on their opinion we tried to take the alternative course of actions.
Here we tried to achieve perfection by continuous improving the quality through making the process effective, efficient and adoptable.
What is rootlessness and why do we need to consider those who are rootless as well as those who are homeless? We use the term rootless to describe a state of not having the things that most people would associate with having a home. For most of us a home as well as being a physical place that meets certain physical needs also meets many psychological and emotional needs. If those needs are not being met we would describe someone as rootless. We use the term rootless as it expresses the feeling of having nowhere to belong and nowhere to call home. This state is usually brought about by a lack of meaningful relationships in life which causes a sense of emotional and psychological isolation. In Bangladesh, tens of thousands of people live in overcrowded slums or public spaces that lack basic facilities, such as safe water, sanitation, and health services. Bangladesh has experienced one of the highest urban population growth rates (around 7%) in the last three decades compared to a national population growth rate of about 1.5% per year. A study in Bangladesh in 2005 defined the homeless as people who sleep on streets, railway terminals and platforms, bus-stations, parks and open spaces, religious centers, construction sites, around graveyards, and in other public spaces with no roof.
Introduction
It is our pleasure and also according to the requirement of course instructors Jesmin Sultana to submit this work shop on a topic. Before the topic selection, we form a group named Earth Finder with a facilitator Jesmin Sultana as well as a leader Mosharof Hossain Khan. After giving a big thought about it we choose a topic Life of Rootless people which is very important factor to develop our society.
Source of data
Sources of data are an important factor for this work shop. Without the data collection, we will not be able to develop the work shop. The objectives of data collection are: Primary source/research Secondary source/ research
Primary Research
We directly collected the data from the field. Here, we attach one survey reports, where we directly talk University. In this research, we can use three methods. These are: Telephone Survey Personal Interview Mail survey
Telephone Survey
We can collect the data by using telephone that refers to telephone survey. We have some advantage and disadvantage here. We can collect the information very easily. We can get quick responds here. Questions are very easy to understand. We can not see the person by whom we are talking. The interview time is limited and expansive
Personal Interview
If we directly go to the person and talk to them and prepared the survey report, that is referring to personal interview. They always give more time then the telephone survey. It is very expensive Sometimes it is very heard to get an appointment to that interviewer Question must be prepared early. We can get quick responds. We can ask question after question here. The responds rate is low here.
Secondary Research
The information, which is already use by some other organization that is referred to secondary research. Here, we collect little information from different place like: Internet Newspaper Article Amrao Pari NGO Sajeda Foundation Social Welfare Institute Poverty Estimation Project Governmental project
They are the main person for development of QC Circle. The facilitator also needs to communicate with every one. They must have positive attitude.

Monitor progress
Here we need to talk about the storing the problem. So we need to have a important program. Here QC people will try to solve it. Here they will sit together to solve the problem and produce good quality product. Here they have to sure that problem does not come once again once we can do it. That is the success of the team. it is the asset of the organization. Define responsibilities
Here we will talk about the total number of work and their duties and responsibilities. We also need to tell every one who will do what and by whom they will report.
System is a process that will be followed by the employee to make the quality product. Here one more thing we need to mention that is everything should be written for easy understanding. Identify problem areas
We need to identify the errors and problem and try to solve it. As a result we can produce good quality product. If we cannot solve the problem then other problem will come and we will se full of problem. Then it will be very difficult for us to solve the problem.
Implement program
The program is made for quality improvement that has to apply that to produce good quality product.
Monitor progress
This is one of the main objects of the QC circle and it is a continuous process of the organization. Here we need to monitor every thing time to time so that we can set quality product. Audit & Review effectiveness
To get quality product we have to audit and review it effectively. If any kind of problem arises we need to give quick responds to it. So that it does not consume to truck.
Life of rootless people affects our social life very badly and also personal life. It will become a major problem in future. So we have to take step to solve it. Here we are working on rootless people. Please help us to improve our society as well as their life and offer a better life to them that we want to lead.

Environmental Disaster
The definition of homeless used in the present study reflects that many people live without permanent shelter in major towns and cities. The 2005 study found that 47% of the homeless in Dhaka lived on footpaths, 23% in the city's transport-stations, and 12% in front of major market centers. People are found in the above locations in all seasons, although their numbers vary throughout the year. Concentrations of people increase following natural disasters, such as flood, cyclone, and famine and erosion of river-bank. In our survey river erosion is indicated as main problem. Causes are Flood Storm
Social Deprivation
The respondents were asked if they had used any drugs during the year prior to the survey. Less than one percent of the females reported drug-use. However, 69% of the males used some types of drug. Children are used for passing drug and bombs. They involve in criminilism like theft, hijacking, murder etc. Drug Addiction Misuse of Power Unethical activities Sexual Harassment Increase Criminalizes Mental sickness
Population Problem
Globally, more people now live in urban areas than in rural areas. Over the past few decades, most low-income countries have experienced a rapid population growth without adequate expansion of public services, and many cities in the developing world lack the infrastructure necessary to support high levels of urban population growth. As a result, globally, more than one billion people live in informal settlements or urban slums. Many others live where they can--at railway terminals and bus-stations, at ports, and in empty markets, parks, and stairways. Lack of land Poor income Food Deficiency
Poverty
As population is increased, poverty is increased. Rising cost of basic need, lack of land, home, and food is a big problem in our country. Low standard of living Rising food cost
A rootless person means who has no physical, mental and psychology shelter and no home. Rootlessness is a big problem of our society. It affects very badly our social value. Affects are Increase Drug addiction. Destroy public property. Environment Pollution. Increase unethical activities. Increasing AIDS. Decrease social value. Increase criminilism (murder, hijacking, theft). Use children as a medium of transferring drug, bombs etc.
Government may take step like Create opportunity for employment. Provide educational facilities. Motivate them to lead a good and ethical life. Facilities of accommodation. Control food cost. Realize them that they are a valuable part of our society. Create proper family planning. Giving loan at a lower interest and for considerable time.
We have met two NGO Amrao Pari and Sajeda Foundation. Amrao Pari is situated in Mouchak and Sajeda Foundation is in Mahakhali.
Amrao Pari
When destitute women are going for searching work they keep their children in Amrao Pari. Amrao Pari provides food and medical facilities for children. It also provide blanket, sootier in winter. In flood time they shelter rootless people and provide foods. Recently they train destitute women handloom and craft design.
Sajeda Foundation
It provide small lone for long time with very little interest. They suggest idea for becoming self independence. Especially they focus on women and children.
