ENDORSEMENT OF CUSTOMISED WORKSHOPS

TOTE BOARD ARTS GRANT

The aim of the Tote Board Arts Grant is to subsidise the cost of quality arts education programmes,
endorsed under the National Arts Council’s Arts Education Programme (NAC-AEP), to schools so as
to promote arts appreciation among students.

The Tote Board Arts Grant offers schools an annual grant of:

$10,000 to Institute of Technical Education (ITE)

$15,000 to all Primary and Secondary Schools (government, government-aided, independent and
specialised independent schools), Junior Colleges and Centralised Institute
$30,000 to Polytechnics

The grant may be used to subsidise up to 60% of the cost of customised workshops by artists and
arts groups with existing endorsed NAC-AEP. Such workshops are specially customised according to
the needs of the school and therefore should be unique to the school named in the application.
Applications for endorsement may only be made by the schools (not by arts groups). Schools can
use up to 40% of their grant (eg. $4,000 for ITEs) to subsidise programmes by foreign arts groups.
