ARC Stuff-The-Truck Barbara Diamond Art Classes September PTA Meeting Save the date Fall Carnival PTA Dues? Goodsearch, Goodshop, Gooddining

*What is the incentive program? In order to encourage parent (and staff) volunteer involvement, for each hour of time you volunteer by coming to a PTA meeting, helping with set-up, clean up, ticket taking, etc. your name will be entered into a drawing to be held at the end of the semester. Drawing items will include gift cards and vouchers for service among others. All the volunteers below for Stuff-The-Truck will be entered. Thanks for your time! ARC Stuff-The-Truck The Semi-Annual ARC Stuff-the-Truck Fundraiser is upon us!! Plan to bring your gently used clothing, household items, and furniture to the teacher's parking lot before Sunday, September 8th at 4pm. Help us fill the truck to 100% capacity to earn $1,000 from the ARC! A huge special THANK YOU goes out to all of the volunteers who signed up to take a 2 hour shift! Stacie R, Brenda W, John P, Mike B, Elisabeth L, Susan E, Shana M, Diane G, Kimbra S, Vicky M, and Nancy S are all supporting BV this weekend by giving a couple hours of their time!! Barbara Diamond Art Classes Ms. Barbara Diamond will continue teaching an after school art class in the Fall here at Buena Vista, and we are thrilled to have her back! This year Ms. Diamond will teach an 8 week class and she will provide some wonderful projects and materials. Barbara Diamond is a local artist. She is also an art teacher at Bemis School of Art, and teaches after school art classes at a number of local

schools. There is a fee associated with her classes, but she provides all the materials and students will have a wonderful piece of art to bring home after each class. There will be an 8 week session for Kindergarten through 6th grade, Wednesdays after school at 2:35, beginning September 25th. Space is limited in these classes, so please don't wait to sign up if you are interested! To register for classes, please follow the instructions on the attached registration form, which also has more information about Ms. Diamond and her art classes. The registration form is attached and has a complete list of the class dates and cost. We have room for about 20 students this year and spaces will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. September PTA Meeting Please make plans to join us Monday the 30th of September in the library from 2:40-3:30. Pressing issues: Fall Carnival and funds allocation. Did you know that to be a PTA member BV PTA sends in $4.25 to the National PTA and $2.00 to the State of Colorado PTA? We want to continue to mitigate the cost of these dues for our members (but donations are gladly accepted). Proceeds from tonights Welcome Back Movie Night will go to offset these costs. Please be sure you fill out a membership envelope and return it to a board member so we get you your member card and send in your dues.
