PROFILE.
Enthusiastic, intelligent, ambitious and out going with over ten years experience
in Industry. Of these years I have worked in the manufacturing environment as a
Laboratory Chemist, Production Foreman and later Technical coordinator in charge
of production planning, quality control and technical supervision of the
production and ancillary staff in a Chemical plant, Including advising customers
on technicalities of chemical products. Also I have the exposure to the mining
industry in the concentrator department as a trainee Engineer and at ROP (1975)
limited, Lever Brothers as a trainee Technologist and Engineer respectively and
finally as a Sugar Process Engineer.
As a Master of Economics (Public Finance), Bachelor of Engineering degree in
Chemical Engineering with merit and Industrial Science Technology diploma holder,
I can adapt to almost all work categories ranging from analyzing and interpreting
research data and drawing conclusions on the outcomes, soap, paint and chemical
manufacturing, minerals processing, petroleum processing, water treatment,
analysis and distribution, waste management, sales engineering, banking/finance
etc.
Currently, I am working in a revenue Organisation as an Examining Officer for the
Zambia Revenue Authority for over five years now.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS.


(i) National Graduate Institute for Research and Policy Studies (GRIPS), Japan,
(October 2007- October 2008).

Master of Economics (Public Finance)


Thesis title: Fiscal policy and economic growth: The Zambian case.

(ii) Copperbelt University (1999-2001).

Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering with a


Merit.
Modules studied include; social and organizational behavior, Law of contracts,
Sales Management, project evaluation and costing.
Final year Project: “Design of a plant to produce industrial grade ethanol”.

(iii) Copperbelt University (1994-1996).

Diploma in Industrial Science Technology.


Modules studied include; Introduction to computers and programming, plant
Operation, Quality control, Research and development, Marketing and sales,
Water and Sewerage and Process control.

EMPLOYMENT SUMMARY.
1. December 2003 to date: Permanent Employment.
Organisation: Zambia Revenue Authority.
Position: Examining Officer
Job description: To Examine both import and export documents for the
Sore purpose of collecting the
Right revenue for the republic of the Zambian government. This involves
doing inspections and investigations to ensure compliance. I am also involved in
enforcing the requirements of bodies like the environmental council of Zambia, the
Zambia bureau of standards, and the energy regulation board e.t.c by ensuring that
all importations abide by the requirements of the stated bodies.

2. August 2003 to December 2003: Permanent Employment.


Organisation: Consolidated Farming Limited.
Position: Process Engineer
Job description: Was involved in the erection of the equipment, testing it
after Installation, commissioning the plant and running it ensuring that all
Process Parameters are within range and to produce the best sugar both
qualitatively and quantitatively. I was also involved in shift supervision and
I was supervising well over fifty (50) employees

3. March 2003 to August 2003: Permanent employment.


Organisation: Titanium Paints Limited.
Position: Technical Coordinator.
Job description: In charge of all the Technical aspects of the company
related to production starting from raw materials to finished goods. I was
also
the Head of the Quality systems certification project of ISO-9001.

4. April 2002 to December 2002: Part time lecturing at Evelyn Hone


College.
5. January 2001 to April 2001: Vacation employment
Organisation: Lever Brothers Zambia Limited – Ndola.
Position: Trainee Engineer
Job description:
Worked in the Soap production plant and the job included: -
(i) Monitoring and regulating plant parameters in accordance to set standards
(ii) Process and Quality Control of all the products
(iii) Implementation of the safety policies and rules
(iv) Production of utilities such as high pressure steam and cooling water
(v) Management of the plant effluent (wastewater).
(vi) Monitoring of the stack emissions and making sure that principal pollutants
are within acceptable limits.

During the work at Lever Brothers I also did a project on Material and Energy
Balances on the Saponification pans.

6. January 2000 to April 2000: VACATION EMPLOYMENT


Organisation: Roan Antelope mine Corporation of Zambia (RAMCOZ)
Position: Trainee Engineer
Job description:
Worked at the Concentrator department and was involved in process
Engineering from the secondary crushing plant through the grinding plant up
to the floatation cells and filtration units. In this I was assigned to
monitor the
Movement of the Materials and to ensure that all the Quality and Process
Control parameters were met.

7. November 1997 to April 1999: FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT


Organisation: Titanium Paints Limited
Position: PRODUCTION FOREMAN
Job description:
Reporting to the Technical Manager, I was responsible for the all production
Process including Quality Controlling. The main duties included: -
(i) Production planning to meet targets and dead lines
(ii) Paint formulations
(iii) To ensure that the plant was safe and correctly utilised to achieve
production efficiency and targets
(iv) To supervise, control and co-ordinate all production operations in the
entire plant
(v) To implement safety policies and rules so that employees wear the right
protective clothes and use approved work practices
(vi) To design and approve any modifications on the existing plant
(vii) To train subordinates on the job and instill discipline to ensure job
competence and productivity
(viii) To ensure availability of raw materials, production materials and all
production equipment
(ix) To provide Technical information to the marketing department and customers
on the usage of paint and on general information on paint.
(x) To inspect materials on arrival to ensure that they have been supplied to
the correct specifications
(xi) To receive both stock and non-stock items from both local and foreign
suppliers
(xii) To liaise with the key users of materials on both quality and technical
queries
(xiii) To ensure that packing is to the required standard and suitable storage
of materials is carried out on specified items.

8. November 1996 to November 1997: FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT


Organisation: Titanium Paints Limited
Position: Laboratory Chemist
Job description:
Reporting to the Technical Manager, I was responsible for all the analysis on
all the incoming raw materials, process products and final products. Other
Duties Included: -
(i) Quality planning for the all company
(ii) To provide Technical information to the marketing department and customers
on paint formulations, blending and general information.

9. February 1996 to October 1996: RESEARCH PROJECT


Organisation: Kitwe City Council
Position: Trainee Technologist
Job description;
Reporting to the Director of Engineering Services, the main responsibility was
to carry out an analysis of the drinking water quality on all the squatter
townships of Kitwe and to assess it’s suitability for the general population.
The
analysis involved the following: -
(i) Physical tests
(ii) Chemical tests
(iii) Bacteriological tests and
(iv) Radiological tests

10. November 1995 to February 1996: VACATION EMPLOYMENT


Organisation: Refined Oil Products (ROP) 1975 Limited
Position: Trainee Technologist
Job description:
I worked in the soap production plant and the Refinery for the cooking Oil
Plant. The job included: -
(i) Monitoring and regulating plant parameters in accordance to set standards
(ii) Process and Quality Control of the Soap and the refined Oil products
(iii) Management of the plant effluent (Wastewater, waste air and waste solids)
