These will be marked wrong in an effort to start bringing attention to proper number/letter formation for 2nd grade readiness. Spelling Tip: Give your child a practice test at home and have her/him write the words down like we do in class. Thats what I do at our house with my own first grader! If you are planning to drive us to the mall on our trip, please let me know so I can get you the necessary paperwork to fill out. Thanks! NWEA testing went well. I was able to peek in on the students as they were taking their tests and everyone looked focused and confident. We will be completing our score card once all tests have been taken to see how we did in comparison to the scores you viewed with me during conferences. Prior to the students taking their NWEA tests this time, I was able to meet with them one-on-one and discuss their new goals. Your campers were excited by this, so ask them how they did! Canned Food Drive- In an effort to help others in need this season, Thomas Edison is sponsoring a canned food drive. Help Camp Cronce lead the pack in donated amounts! Every can/box earns us a tally! Have your campers bring in their bags full of food to put under our classroom Christmas tree. POLAR EXPRESS Fun (Dont tell the kids!)- Send your passengers to school in pajamas as they will BECOME the characters in the movie. I will be turning Camp Cronce into the train car after school on Thursday (help needed! ) and we will be viewing the movie/serving cookies in the AM. After lunch, we will need your help at noon as we do our Polar Express Centers. There will be no party/need for gifts, however, if you choose to bless us, there are items the class is in need of! REMIND 101 is a great service Ive been using to keep in touch with all of you and have used it several times already. If you are unsure as to how to subscribe, please see me with your phone and I will get you hooked up. Strong communication between teacher and parent(s) truly makes all the difference.
