In June, Pastor Kimes will be retiring and our new pastor, Rev. Jim Todd, will be serving in our church. Pastor Todd is currently the district superintendent for the southwest district of Pennsylvania and has also served as the senior pastor at several churches. In the months before Pastor Todd and his wife, Karen, come to our community, lets reach out to them with notes of welcome and encouragement. SAVE THE DATE Sunday, June 8, 2014 Mark your calendars to save the date of Sunday, June 8, 2014 for a church-wide lunch honoring Pastor Ed and Faith following the 11:00 a.m. service. Indoor Soccer for Preschool- 7th Grades The last session of indoor soccer will be held on Tuesday, February 25th. Ages 4-6 meet from 5:30 pm - 6:20 pm. Ages 7-9 meet from 6:30 pm- 7:20 pm. Ages 10- 12 meet from 7:30 pm- 8:30 pm. Coach Joe Heitczman will instruct students during the session. Students must have shin guards and wear sneakers. There is no fee to play. Students must register with Pam O'Brien. Youth Ministry Program Breakfast Fundraiser The Youth will be serving breakfast after all services today. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee and juice are on the menu, so bring your appetite! There is no set cost for the breakfast; donations will be accepted. All proceeds will help youth attend upcoming spiritual growth retreats and missions opportunities. Youth can work this event to raise money for upcoming retreats. Spring Adult Mission Trip The Spring Adult Mission trip is to Ocean City, NJ to help in the relief of Sandy. The cost is unknown at this time. We will be leaving Sunday afternoon on April 27th and coming back Friday, May 2nd or Saturday, May 3rd. Reaching Out Jack Wallie is receiving rehab at Brookmont Health Care Center where he will be a patient for a few weeks. Cards may be sent to him at P.O. Box 50, Effort, Pa. 18330.
Blood Pressure Screening celebrates American Heart Month! Come to Fellowship Hall after each service today to have your blood pressure checked by a nurse, get questions answered, and pick up free literature from the American Heart Association. There is much you can do to prevent and treat high blood pressure!

Lisa Butz from Pocono Medical Center will be doing a presentation on Tuesday, March 4 on obsessive-compulsive behavior. Stephen Ministry invites the church family and community to join them for this presentation in Oberholtzer Hall from 6:45-7:30 p.m. Stephen Ministry

Compassion: Deeply sharing the suffering of another, together with the inclination to give aid or support. As we look at Jesus suffering, death, and resurrection, we observe the ultimate example of compassion. He calls us to follow his example and to be concerned for one another. Stephen Ministry provides compassionate Christians a place where they can use these gifts in ministry to folks who are hurting. Children's Church We regret to inform you that we will no longer be able to continue Children's Church at the 11:00 service due to the lack of volunteers for this ministry.
