Paull writer’s first novel tackles mental health taboos
Posted on October 27, 2009 by rayduff
Pease Pudding Hot is a new novel
written by local author Elaine Ellis from
Paull. The story tells of Joe Sharp and
the anguish he faces over two decades
from a world that does not recognise or
understand his schizophrenia.
Lorraine has written her first book at 52
years of age, in the hope of helping
others with mental health problems.
She also hopes to help take away the
stigma associated with this kind of
illness.
The book can be ordered as an ebook
for £5.00 through specialist publisher
Chipmunka Publishing and may be
available in printed form in the near
future.
Watch the Hedon Blog for a review of this in the next few weeks. You might like to write
your own review and submit as a comment.
