Open Studio: For two hours, partcipants will have access to ACT art
supplies to create their own masterpieces--whether a paintng, multme-
dia creaton, recycled art sculpture, or a new type of art creaton! Along
with this, there will also be planned crafs for those who prefer a bit
more guidance.

SUMMER 2014
Learning from a Local Master: Students will get to work in a vari-
ety of visual art media and learn create their own Caribbean
Style art under the instructon of local art master, Erick Picardo.
Hailing from the Dominican Republic, Picardo is a visual artst and
percussionist who performs and exhibits his work in Grand Rapids
and around the world.

ACTion Drummers: This in-depth drumming class is for folks
interested in learning more about drumming and performing in
various community locatons. The group practces weekly, and
performs at least two tmes during each ten-week session.

Urban Art: In this mult-media class students will explore the world
of urban art and its many forms, including hip-hop dance, music
and singing, and visual art.

Dance & Creatve Movement: Dance and CM will take place in a
fun, community environment with students learning new moves
and creatng new dances. *The class will meet at the Grand Rapids
Ballet Company at 341 Ellsworth Ave SW, Grand Rapids, 49503.

ACT encourages partcipants to bring an assistant if necessary for meaningful
partcipaton in class. There is no cost for assistants. Please note that we will
not provide art supplies for assistants as the purpose of the assistant is to help
the partcipant, not to work on his or her own art project.
