High Sensitivity Smoke Detector
General Notes:
1. (*) indicated in the datasheet denotes vendor to furnish.

5. High Sensitivity Smoke Detector Smoke Detector shall be designed as per Job Specification for Supply of Fire and
Gas Detectors.
6. Cable entry shall be M20 x 1.5 ISO (1 + 1 Spare) bottom entries. Integral junction box shall be provided. All spare
entries shall be provided with certified plugs.
7. Wiring terminations shall be screw clamp terminals suitable for up to 2.5mm2 conductors, including spare terminal
for addition circuit wiring. The terminals must be provided with numeric coding. Two 4-way terminal block.
8. Optical Smoke Detector shall have 1 set of line monitored volt-free contacts. Line monitoring components should be
both series & parallel and to be advised by ICSS vendor.
9. Smoke detector shall be optical type.
10. The detector shall not require a field reset.
11. Smoke detector located in the floor void will have remote indicator installed at a visible location. Reference should
be made to AS1603.15 Automatic fire detection and alarm systems Part 15: Remote Indicators for specification and
marking of remote indicator.
12. Minimum hazardous area certification is Ex ia IIB T3. Hazardous area protection IS intrinsic safety with 2 fault
tolerant (ia), gas group IIB (Ethylene), temperature class is T3 (200 deg. C).
13. High Sensitivity Smoke Detector IP rating : HOLD
14. Special Condition of Safe Use : HOLD
15. Vendor shall provide additional 316SS tag plate (size 100 x 15mm) permanently attached to the with 316
SS.
16. Refer to Fire and Gas Index document A for full list of FPSO Topside High
Sensitivity Smoke Detector tagname.
