Dear Parent,
We have all been working very hard in school this week on our theme of kindness and
respect. The children have also been focused upon the presentation of their school work
and trying to make their handwriting as neat as possible.
We have identified the teaching of P.E. as an area for development in our school and the
teachers and children have been working with Miss Baxter, who is a P.E. specialist.
Reading books will be sent home this week so please make time to read with your child
because this makes a huge difference.

Parental Conduct
Sadly, we have had a number of complaints about inappropriate language being used in the
playground and at the school gates. Our school policy clearly states:
I must warn all parents officially that there is a zero tolerance of any kind of
intimidation or aggressive behaviour, written, verbal or physical.
Therefore, I feel it fair to inform everyone that such acts, either in or outside the academy,
may result in a total ban from academy premises and possible prosecution. Similarly, the
carrying of any kind of offensive weapon would lead to the same sanctions and will be
reported to the police. There are no circumstances in which aggressive behaviour is
acceptable. Please heed this warning and ensure that you adhere to this advice.

Juice Money
Fruit juice is provided free for all children in KS1 and KS2.
We ask that children in nursery and reception pay 1.50 per week because this covers
the costs of all the extra activities such as cooking that take place each week as well as
an afternoon snack and drink.

Uniform
It has been wonderful to see all the children so smartly dressed in the correct school
uniform. Please make sure that all uniform, including P.E. kits, are clearly labelled with
your childs name, so that we can return it to you if your child loses it in school. We still
have a small number of coats that were left in the cloakroom at the end of last term.
