Q & A: IN THE HOUSEHOLD OF THE PROPHET ‫صلى ال عليه وسلم‬

‫بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم‬

Translator’s Note
Indeed all praise is due to Allah, we praise Him, we
seek His help and His forgiveness. We seek refuge
with Allah from the evil of our souls and the evil of
our actions. Whomsoever Allah guides no one can
misguide and whoever He leaves astray no one can
guide. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of
worship except Allah alone, He is One and has no
partners and I bear witness that Muhammad (‫صلى‬
‫ )الله عليه وسلم‬is his slave and Messenger. May the
peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, his family,
his companions and those who follow his guidance
until the day of judgement.
To Proceed:
We live at a time when Muslims have their priorities
set in the wrong order. Those affairs that are of
utmost importance are put down the ladder and in
some cases are not even considered while issues
that have no benefit whatsoever, not in the life of
this world or in the hereafter, are what Muslims
spend their time, money and energy in. Ask the
average Muslim youth today the names of the wives
of the Prophet (‫ )صلى الله عليه وسلم‬and the statistics
of those among them who can come up with the
right answers will shock you, but ask the same youth
about football players, film actors or musicians, and
the power of their memories will amaze you, but of

4
Q & A: IN THE HOUSEHOLD OF THE PROPHET ‫صلى ال عليه وسلم‬

what importance are these affairs in the life of a

Muslim?
Death is the threshold of the day of judgement and
as Muslims we all have no doubt that we shall all be
questioned in our graves about our Lord, our deen
and our Prophet, if we succeed in answering these
questions correctly whatever comes after that will
also be successful and if we fail in answering these
questions correctly... I seek refuge with Allah from
that.
In line with the above, this book (Questions and
Answers; in the household of the Prophet) is
translated into English in order to make it available
to the English speaking Muslim youth in particular
and to everyone who wants to revise and strengthen
his knowledge of the seerah of our Noble Prophet,
Muhammad (‫ )صلى الله عليه وسلم‬an affair that Allah
has made a condition to succeeding in the life of this
dunyah and that of the akheerah.
It is pertinent to state that in this translation, the
questions and answers are not in the exact order as
in the original book and repetitions were omitted.
Some other adjustments were also made based on
the advice of our noble Shaykh, defender of the
Sunnah, Abu AbdulMusawwir, Muhammad Al Ameen
Al Haleel (‫)حفظه الله‬.

Q & A: IN THE HOUSEHOLD OF THE PROPHET ‫صلى ال عليه وسلم‬

The translator does not claim infallibility in this work

and welcomes any knowledge-based corrections and
recommendations.
I ask Allah to make this strictly for His countenance
and put it on the scale of good deeds of everyone
that contributes to its success. I beseech Him to
forgive my mistakes therein and help everyone that
reads, teaches, learns, or listens to all or a part of it,
obtain maximum benefits from it.
And with Allah lies all success.

Author’s Preface
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Magnificent

noblest of mankind, Muhammad (‫)صلى الله عليه وسلم‬,
the one for whom companions and noble members
of his household were chosen by Allah and Allah

4
Q & A: IN THE HOUSEHOLD OF THE PROPHET ‫صلى ال عليه وسلم‬

increased them in nobility for they were the closet of

people to the Messenger of Allah (‫)صلى الله عليه وسلم‬.
O’ Allah, send your blessings and peace on your

members of his household.

time of the members of your family will not be
wasted in affairs that have no benefit. You are
responsible not only for yourself but also those that
