Abstract
Objectives of this study are (1) Saving behavior of Government Saving Bank officers at head office
Bangkok (2) Factors that affect to amount of saving of Government Saving Bank officers, head office,
Bangkok (3) Relations between amount of saving and personal factors of Government Saving Bank officers,
head, office, Bangkok.
275 of the selective samples for this study is Government Saving Bank officers at head office,
Bangkok Tool for data collection is a survey questionnaire. Data analysis was calculated by percentage.
And correlation was done by Chi-square Test Statistic.
The results of the study show that (1) Most of Saving behavior of Government Saving Bank
officers at head office, Bangkok , is 10-20 % of average monthly earning. The objective of saving is for
emergency expenditure. Government Saving Bank officers prefer to save their money in banks because it
is comfortable and length of saving time is 5-10 years (2) factors that influence saving behavior of
Government Saving Bank officers are individually saving attitudes, rate of return and interest,
acknowledgement or awareness about offering saving products and services, firmness of banks and
inflation rate. The most important of increasingly amount of saving is increase income. On the other hand,
the most important factor of decreasingly amount of saving is increase of expenditure. Moreover, none or
very less income is the main factor of non-saving. (3) The relation of saving amount and individual factors
found that the different ages is not affected the amount of saving. Furthermore, the level of education
and income are considerably affected to amount of saving. By Government Saving Bank officers at head
office, Bangkok who have a bachelor's degree are group with the most saving and Government Saving
Bank officers at head office, Bangkok who have average monthly earning 15,000 to 20,000 baht are group
with the most saving. They have saving amount 10-20 % of average monthly earning. And expenditure
monthly and differentiate numbers of family members expenditures are not affected to saving.
