Noise level:
There is the occasional noise of traffic from either end of the ally but this is very
rare. There is also the chance of noise from the neighbouring school so this could
be controlled by filming at a different time when the children are in class.
Potential hazards:
One of the hazards of the location is traffic but this can be minimised by keeping
away from the roads on either side and to stick in the alleyway.
Another is the risk of people falling over the equipment so cast and crew will have
to watch were they are going and be careful of what is around them.
Overall suitability:
The location is suitable for our production, the shadows and location in general as
alleyways are conventionally where bad things happen. There is limited space but
it should be wide enough for us to film and the location is easily accessible as it is
right next to the school.
Noise level:
The noise could depend. As we are filming afterschool the cleaners will be around
school and when they get to our location the noise will be considerably louder. To
control this we may have to pause filming or finish filming at a later date.
Potential hazards:
There may be a chance of objects falling off cabinets and hitting the cast or crew
but this can be minimised by securing all loose objects before filming. There is also
the chance of people tripping over so cast and crew must be careful when
navigating the set. If there is a fire hazard the fire door will be kept clear.
Overall suitability:
The location is quite suitable as it is accessible (being on school grounds) and is
easy to navigate. However it doesnt fit very well with the genre but was the
closest we could get to our desired location. It is quite small but should be just the
right amount of room to film what we need.
