Section 1
1.

System Design Data

General :
The system design, basis of design, estimated requirements and other relevant data
are outlined in this section. The detailed specifications and specific requirements are outlined in the subsequent sections.

Location :

2.1

The proposed airconditioning work is to be carried out for the Parsvnath Metro Mall
DMRC at Inderlok Station, New Delhi.

3.

Scope of Work

3.1

Providing & fixing airconditioning system including, chilling unit, AHUs/FCUs, pumps,
piping, ducting, grills/diffusers etc.

3.2

Providing and fixing at site all main equipments associated with A.C. system asked
under these technical specifications.

3.3

To execute all incidental work at site including materials supply at site associated with
A.C. system asked in the technical specifications. Nature of such works will be sheet metal
duct/grill work, chilled water piping and drain etc. incidental civil work,
incidental electrical engineering work, cable, control panel etc. erection at site for all
manufactured items at work and also items fabricated at site.

3.4

Routine testing, pressure testing of fabricated components, commissioning of complete


plant at site.

3.5

Performance testing at site complete airconditioning system as per various technical


requirements as stipulated in performance testing clause.

System Design :
It is proposed to install a central chilled water system to airconditioned the above areas.
Main plant shall consist of 4 Nos. 120 TR (each) water cooled screw chiller along with
chilled water pumps, condenser water pumps and cooling tower.
Main plant shall be located on terrace and chilled water from the main plant shall be
supplied to air handling units/ Fan coil units to be located at various floors.
Conditioned air to the space shall be supplied by using insulated G.I. sheet ducting with
powder coated grills/ diffusers.
System will be complete with electric panel board with cabling and earthing.

7.

Items to be provided by other agencies.


The following items of work shall be supplied by other agencies.

7.1

3 Ph, 415 volts, 50 Hz A.C. supply in main chilling plant on terrace as well as in Air
handling unit rooms.

7.2

1 Ph, 220 volts, 50 Hz A.C. supply for each fan coil unit.

7.3

False ceiling to cover the duct and drop ceiling.

Drainage system near the units.

7.5

Carpentry work such as wooden frame for grills and diffusers.

7.6

Masonry work such as base for equipment.

7.7

Exposed roof insulation with 50 mm thick polystyrene insulation.

8.

Drawings :
The drawings forming part of the specifications provide a feasible scheme for locating the
equipment. The contractor may re-arrange the equipment for improving the layout
and meeting the site conditions. All such changes shall however be subject to the
architects approval. These drawings are not meant to be working drawing which shall be
prepared by the contractor as required.

9.

Test data :
The plant whole system shall be tested as per specifications given elsewhere and complete test data shall be furnished on prescribed data sheet.

10.

Deviation from Specifications :


Deviation from specifications may be accepted, provided such deviations are found
necessary and appropriate, in order to conform to the design of established foreign
collaborators.

11.

Technical Data :
The contractor shall furnish complete technical data on the equipment offered by him
as required under the heading "Technical Data".

12.

Performance Guarantee :

12.1

The contractor shall guarantee that the airconditioning plant shall maintain the design
inside temperature within +/-1oc tolerance and the relative humidity shall not exceed
the specified limit.

12.2

The contractor shall guarantee that the capacity of various components as well as the
whole system shall not be less than specified.

12.3

The contractor shall ensure, that the system shall be free of vibrations and disturbing
sounds.

13.

Foreign Exchange :

The contractor shall make his own arrangements to procure the necessary, specified
controls for which no foreign exchange shall be made available.
