Meet to discuss the event of Examination Awareness Program for 2 schools

(Location: Lalbagh gardens, Bangalore)
(Jeyakumar, Aravinth, Moorthy, Stalin, Krishna Kumar, Ganesan, Arumugaraj,
Somasundaram, Vijayalakshmi, Banupriya and Leela Meenakshi)
The meeting was organized to discuss the following:
1. Happenings on the Examination Awareness Program to be held on 31 st Jan
2015
2. The progress of the newsletter to be published on 26 th Jan 2015
3. The progress on the visuals
4. General suggestions for the newsletter and the visuals
1. EXAMINATION AWARENESS PROGRAM
Aravinth and Jeyakumar gave the introduction and general tips on how to
prepare for the presentation that has to be given for about an hour or so.
Aravinth suggested on how the tips should take the shape of preparation
for examination atleast 3-4 months prior to the exams.
Jeyakumars view was that the tips should be as general as possible, to
avoid confusing the students.
Somu gave timetable idea to regulate and maintain easiness of subjects.
Stalin gave the point of introducing how a model timetable would help the
students to design one of their own
Arumugaraj and Ganesans view were on how subject-wise tips would help
the students.
Banupriya suggested the old question papers to the students (as the
students have a small booklet of the same, this issue need not be
considered)
Arumugaraj suggested the presentation to be made through PowerPoint
slides than using a laptop or giving tips in papers
Aravinth said that this examination awareness program (if it would be
good enough), it can be made as a model to be edited in the long run
Should discuss with students about the examination tips given by
teachers.
General view was that tips and suggestions are to be put in by all team
members to help the volunteers (Leela for Theertham and Arumugaraj for
Chinnakothur) design the presentation.

2. PROGRESS ON NEWLETTER
Jeyakumar said that the skeleton and the raw structure was only prepared
by Bala and it is the responsibility of the Editorial team to take it ahead
Since Ganesan was of the view that the MOM were too much in detail,
Aravinth suggested the Editorial team to shorten the same and add a
separate tab for the work done by
Mr. Lokesh in language
development for the students.
A novel name for the Oyyal tuition Center is in progress, and
suggestions to be made by all team members (in Tamil and English
versions)
Moorthy and Jeyakumar gave the deadline to submit the final draft, for the
other team members to read and put in their own views, by 13 th Jan 2015
Banupriya and Viji suggested to add the contributions of the students
(poems, paintings, drawings) in the newsletter
Aravinth, Jeyakumar and Somasundaram gave their opinions on how and
where they can be added
Moorth was asked to take a scan of the painting done by a student and
upload it on the mail front
Newsletter should be in 6 pages out of it, 4 pages is for content, 1 page is
for Students corner and 1 page is for student feedback.
Overall development deadline to submit the final draft by Editorial team by
13th Jan 2015
AR: To change name of tuition center. Name should be attractive ease to spell
and understand by everyone.
3. PROGRESS ON VISUALS
The visuals are being developed by Somasundaram and Vijayalakshmi
Somu said that he is yet to add the contact and feedback at the end
To add student speech at the last.
Banupriya suggested of how a small video of the general introduction
of Oyyal would be a help to promote the same

(somebody) suggested that each visit (or meeting) could be taken as a

video also
Of the content is cut shot the people will curious about the content.

Final take home tips: Check e-mails regularly and respond to the same. Be in offline
contact to balance the events and responsibilities. Measures for fund raising.
