Read the passage below carefully, then answer the questions that follow.
Visitors to Kuala Lumpur will not miss the most outstanding tower in
the heart of the city, the Menara Kuala Lumpur. Standing atop Bukit Nanas,
at the height of 42 metres, the Menara Kuala Lumpur is the tallest
telecommunication tower in South East Asia and the fourth tallest tower in
the world.
The tower was built as a telecommunication tower to improve the
quality of telecommunication and broadcasting transmission.
It was launched by Prime Minister Dato' Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad
on
I October 1996 and has since become a new landmark for Kuala Lumpur,
the "Garden City Of Lights'. It is the most popular and main attraction for
both local and foreign tourists.
Discover the beauty of the tower and its wide range of facilities:
pedestrian mall, souvenir shops, mini theatre, amphitheatre, Muqarnas
Doorway, observation platform, Revolving Restaurant Seri Angkasa and
Bureau De Change that give comfort and convenience to visitors.
It is open daily from 10.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. on Monday to Friday
and from 9.30 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.
Visitors are provided with ample parking as well as a shuttle service from the
main gate.
