The Indonesian term for the small, traditional market is Pasar. The market is usually crowded with the
housewives and girls in the early morning. The meat and the vegetables are still fresh in the morning. Most of the
people like to bargain at the market. The price of food is not fixed and reasonable. The sellers raise the price and
after bargaining the buyers pay the purchases at a reduced price. So marketing at the small, traditional market is
more economical than marketing at a supermarket. But marketing at a small, traditional market will take much more
time and effort for housewives than marketing at a supermarket. They have to select the best quality food in the

amount she needs at the lowest available price. Second rate quality products can be wasteful and may cost more
in the end than higher-priced products.
