T he fourth annual Skate the Lake was held last Satur-

day and Sunday at Lake Minnedosa. Fourteen men’s,
four ladies’, and 18 youth hockey teams participated in
the weekend’s festivities.
Ten sheets of ice were prepared on the lake surface,
courtesy of the Town of Minnedosa, and teams played
half hour, non-contact, four on four games from 10 a.m.
to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
“The weekend went really, really well in terms of
the weather and how much fun everyone had,” ex-
claimed event coordinator, Tanis Barrett. “Finan-
cially we are still crunching the numbers; we have the
bills to pay before we know the final amount, but I
Photo submitted think we have exceeded our expectations,” she said.
