I work as a secretary in the police inspection in La Jagua de Ibirico. The
office is located near the main square.

Well, my work starts at eight oclock, but I have to get up earlier, because I
have to prepare my daughter for school, I arrive at work around fifteen
minutes to seven, because I open it and need to prepare some papers
before. I dont need to take a transportation to my work, because I live very
near.

What do you do on a typical day at work? What do you do exactly
when you get to work? What does your work consist in?
Well, since I am the secretary, I have to be earlier in the office, I have to
prepare some paper for the police inspector to sign them, and during the
day I have to take the people complaints for murders, thefts, lost things,
assaults, and so on. I have to prepare monthly reports of crime in my
hometown, to check how it increases or decreases.

My lunch time starts at twelve oclock, I have to go home, since I live near
my office, to prepare lunch for me and my daughter, I mean, I have a person
that helps me with that, sometimes we are so busy at the office, that I have
no time to go home, so I sometimes have lunch in the office.

I have to be back at work at one thirty, because there is a lot of papers to fill
out and during the business hours it is almost impossible, there is always a
lot of people in my office.

Not really, all my work is in Spanish, I am improving my English skills

because I want to get a better job, and I am convinced that nowadays is a
must to learn English if you really want to succeed.

What time do you normally stop work and when do you come back
home?
My work finish at six in the afternoon, but sometimes I have leave the office
earlier, since I have to attend some cases out of the office, in those cases, I
can go home a little earlier, but that doesnt happen very often.
