NOTES:
o Make-up games will be scheduled on the first available SUNDAY following the scheduled game
OR as time and field space allows
o No games are scheduled for the Memorial Day (May 28) and Independence Day (July 4) holidays
o We expect the playoffs to begin the week of July 9 and conclude by August 3 (all pending)
o The home team is listed first on the schedule (see rules for responsibilities)
o There are equipment boxes at both Terwood and North Willow Grove. These boxes will be
supplied with bases, rakes, measuring string, scorebooks, drying agent & shovel and enough
softballs each week. This is an attempt to make game days easier for teams. Managers will
be given a key to the equipment box. Use one new game ball per game. If softballs are
found to be missing, teams will have to pick them up from Masons Mill Park before each
game. Return items to the box after the game and remember to lock up. Please report any
damaged/missing equipment to the office ASAP – if there is not a game ball available in the
box, you may use an old ball OR go pick one up from Masons Mill. Managers must return
keys to the office at the end of their season. Failure to do so will result in the team’s entire
forfeit fee being retained by the P & R office until the key is returned. (we will follow this rule
this year) Remember to call in scores. If you lose your key, we will charge $15 for a new
one.
o The home team is the official scorer and is responsible to correctly mark the book including all
players’ last names and all substitutions – home team may keep the game ball
o Each team must pay the official present $17.00 in cash prior to the start of the game. If the other
team forfeits - do not pay the official. The official will be paid by the department and the fees
will be charged to the forfeiting team’s forfeit fee.
o If a game has started and is then postponed due to rain, the umpire is to be paid, the township
will pay the umpire for your make-up game. Games must complete 5 innings to be legal,
otherwise game starts from top of first for make-up (exception: playoff games pick-up where
game was stopped).
o Players must play in at least 5 games to be eligible for the playoffs AND eligibility form MUST be
completed
o ROSTERS MUST BE SIGNED AND SUBMITTED PRIOR TO ANY PLAYER PLAYING IN ANY
GAME
o HOME RUN RULES: The first three batted balls that clear fence in the air per team will be
considered home runs. Teams may hit additional home runs once the opposing team reaches
at least two home runs. Once at three home runs, no team may have more than two home
runs more than the other team. All balls that clear the fence in the air once you have reached
three home runs or any ball clearing the fence in the air that would put you up by more than
two home runs (once three HR’s has been reached) will be considered an out.
o FORFEIT TIME: All games will start promptly at their scheduled time OR when the umpire
determines that the game is ready to begin. For 6:30pm games, teams that are not
ready to play will receive an automatic out during their first at bat in start the game.
Two outs will be recorded for teams still not ready to play at 6:35pm and the game will
be deemed a forfeit at 6:40pm if one or both teams are not ready to play. This is an
attempt to keep ALL games on schedule. Later games will start at the scheduled game
time OR when the umpire determines that the game is and will be considered a forfeit if
one or both teams are not ready to play at the start time.
o A 6:30PM game shall not start a new inning past 7:45PM. A 7:45PM game shall not start a new
inning past 9:15PM. A 9:00PM game shall not start a new inning past 10:45PM. Teams may
complete the current inning (top and bottom halves) but may not start a new one past the time
stated.
