Chapter I
Introduction

A . Background
Electronics is the study of weak current electrical appliance which is operated by
controlling the flow of electrons or electrically charged particles in a device such as
computers, electronic equipment, thermocouples, semiconductor, and so forth. Science of
learning tools such as a branch of physics, while the shape of the design and manufacture
of electronic circuit is part of electrical engineering, computer engineering, and science /
engineering electronics and instrumentation.
Tools that use basic electronic work is usually referred to as the electronic equipment
(electronic devices). Examples of equipment / electronic devices this: Cathode Ray Tube
(Cathode Ray Tube, CRT), radio, TV, cassette recorders, video cassette recorders (VCRs),
VCD recorder, DVD recorder, video camera, digital camera, a desktop personal
computer, a laptop computer , PDA (pocket PC), robots, smart cards, etc. Such tools can
operate well as in the electronic tools, there are several components, namely electro
components. So that these tools can be operated in accordance with the capabilities of
each tool. Therefore in this paper I will discuss the electro components that control
electronic devices and their functions ( Hard Work).

B. Formulation of the problem

1. What is the understanding of the basic components of electro ............?
2. There is a basic component of what kinds of basic electro and how it functions ... ..?

C. Purpose
1. Describe and know the characteristics of each component of both the basic electro
including passive components and active components.
2. Explain and know various basic components including electro both active components
and passive components. As well as knowing how to work / function electro basic
components.

Chapter II
Theoretical basis
The cornerstone of the theory that I use to compile this paper and the collection of data
about the basic components of electro is through browsing the internet. With the aim of
this paper can be resolved properly and in order to take advantage of electronic services.

Chapter III
Discussion
A. Understanding Electrical Components
As we know,
that in each of
the tools electro
there are some
basic
components that
operate in it.
The
basic
components of
electro is a tool
or object whose
function is to
support and to
form an electronic circuit that works must be equal to its usefulness. We can see an
example like that attaches directly on the circuit board (eg veroboard, CCB, PCB, or
protoboard), and that is not attached directly on the circuit board (eg with a device that
connects to the other, namely the cable).
This component is divided into three separate sections, namely the active
components and passive components as well as supporting components. Then, what are
the including passive components, active, supporting them? Here division and a little
explanation.

B. Various electro basic components and their functions

1. Active Components
Active Components is a component that can not work without the presence of a voltage
source. The active component consists of diodes, transistors and ICs, as well as all other
types of semi-conductor components.
1.1. diode

Diode is a
semiconductor that
can only deliver
electrical current
and voltage in one
direction only.
Basic material for
the manufacture of
diodes are Germanium
(Ge) and Silicon / Silsilum (Si). Diodes have several types:
a. Diodes Contact Point

This diode
is used to
transform
into a high
frequency low frequency. Examples of this type of diodes for example; OA 70, OA 90
and 60. Symbol diode 1N Contact Point:

b. diodes Relations
This diode can be a current or voltage is large only in one direction. This diode is
used to rectify the current and voltage. This diode has a maximum voltage and maximum
current, eg type 1N4001 Diodes there are 2 types, namely the capacity of 1A / 50V and
1A / 100V. The same relationship with the diode symbol symbols point contact diode.

c. zener diode

Zener diode is a diode that works in the area at the workstation breakdown or reverse
bias. These diodes are widely used for voltage divider. Type of voltage zener diode is
distinguished by its boundary. For example, 12 V, this means zener diode can limit the
voltage greater than 12 V to 12 V. The symbol or Zener diodes.
d. LED diodes
LED stands for Light Emitting Diode (Light Emitting Diodes). This diode will emit light
when a voltage of 1.8 V with a given current of 1.5 mA. LEDs are widely used as
indicator lights and props (display).
SimbolL ED:

1.2. Transistor
Transistor has two
types: Bipolar
Transistors and
Transistor Unipolar.
Bipolar transistor is a
transistor that has two
poles junction. Unipolar
transistor is a transistor
that only has one junction
Pole. Ordinary transistor consists of 3 pieces each leg named: emitter, base and collector.

1.3. IC (Integrated Circuit)

IC stands for integrated circuit is a component that is intentionally designed to be
components of the integrated diode, resistors, capacitors, and transistors numbering
millions could be up to billions.

2. Passive Components
Passive components are
electronic components that
the operation does not
require a voltage source or
current source of its own.
As for including passive
components
include
resistors,
capacitors,
conductors, transformer /
transformer.

2.1.Resistor
The resistor is an
electronic
component
that
functions
to
inhibit the flow of
electricity.
Resistors can be
divided into two,
namely the fixed resistor and resistor are not fixed (variable).
a. Fixed resistors
Fixed resistor is a resistor that has a resistance value that remains. Resistors have such
power limits: 1 / 16watt, 1 / 8watt, watt, watt etc. That is resitor can only be operated
with maximum power in accordance with its capabilities.
b. Variable Resistor (Variable)

Is a resistor whose resistance or resistance value can be changed. Kind, among others:

sliding barriers, trimpot and potentiometers. That is widely used is the trimpot and
potensimeter.
a. potentiometer
Resistor resistance value can be changed by rotating the shaft that has been available.
Potentiometer is basically the same as the trimpot functionally.
b. trimpot
Resistor resistance value can be changed by rotating the spindle by using a screwdriver.
To determine the value of the resistance of a trimpot can be seen from the figures listed in
the trimpot body.
Symbol trimpot and potensiometer:

2.2 Capacitors
A capacitor is an
electronic
component that can
store and release the
electric charge or
electrical energy. The
ability to store electrical
charge on the capacitor
is called the capacitance
or capacity. As with any
obstacles, the capacitor can be divided into two, namely the fixed capacitors and
capacitors are not fixed.

2.3 Trafo / Transformer

Transformer
transformer
abbreviated.
The
transformer consists
of two coils are the
primary winding and
secondary winding.
Transformer works based
system
changes
the
electric field force, which can be used to raise or lower the AC mains voltage.

2.4 Inductor

Inductors most often

called a torus-shaped
reactor,
useful
for
storing energy to the
magnetic field due to
the electric current
passing through it.

3. Supporting Components
Supporting components, is a component of the complement of an electronic circuit that
normally do not necessarily have to exist in it. This component bleak example
connectors, switches, etc.
