We Are Celebrating BOB’s 20th

Birthday Join us Sunday, May 9
On May 7th Breakfast on Boulevard will be 20 years old. The
Breakfast on Boulevard food ministry was the dream of two special
women here at FCC - Patty McKibbin and Carol Roberts. Thanks to
their dream, and your tireless support of time and financial
contributions, BOB has fulfilled the calling to “feed my sheep.” For 20
years we have served a hot breakfast and sack lunch to any who
come, no questions asked.
The first day BOB opened they served one person. By the end
of the first full year they served just over 3000 meals. During 2009
BOB served approximately 22,000 meals at a cost of $42,800.
Volunteers come from all over the Edmond community, and many other churches and organizations lend support to this
life-sustaining program. Won’t you join us in celebrating BOB’s 20th birthday on Sunday, May 9? We will celebrate the birth and life
of this ministry during our three morning worship services. There will be a 20th Birthday cake to celebrate as well! If you would
like to bring BOB a birthday present, any of the following items would be appreciated:
 Individual packages of hot chocolate or instant oatmeal  12” aluminum foil (regular - not heavy duty)
 Bounty paper towels  Pam Spray  Financial gifts  Dish cloths & tea-towels

Our thanks to all who have supported this vital ministry for the past 20 years. BOB and the lives of many have been blessed
because of you!
VBS 2010 - “Egypt: Joseph’s Journey from Prison to Palace” will be filled with incredible Bible experiences
that children will see, hear, touch and even taste! They’ll learn from Joseph himself about his journey as shared to us from the
Bible, they’ll enjoy many different shops in the Marketplace, celebrate in music, have fun in pyramid playground as well as join
an Egyptian family for the week! Plus we’ll help children discover how to see God in everyday life - something we call God
Sightings! Get ready to hear that phrase a lot!
Your children will also participate in a hands-on mission project called Operation Kid-to-Kid. Children and adults at Egypt
VBS programs across North America will create comfy blankets that bear the message of God’s love.
Parents, grandparents and friend are invited to join us each day from 8:30 - 8:45 p.m. That’s when we’ll have the
Closing Celebration - a daily celebration of God’s love you won’t want to miss!
So mark these dates on your calendar: June 14 - 17. The fun starts at 6:00pm and will end at 8:45pm.
Register online for this life-changing journey at www.fccedmond.org/vbs or call 341-3544 for more information. But hurry,
early registration for $10 end May 30. After June 1, the registration fee increases to $15.
