This year is flying by and it’s nearly summer
already. Our numbers are growing as we continue
to bring in new members. The
initiation on April 24 was beautiful
and everyone did a fabulous job.
Our new members, Christie Connor,
Kimberly Bell, and Ken Lopez,
joined us later that evening for the
annual Night in Italy dinner. We
had a wonderful turnout and
enjoyed a sumptuous meal prepared by Chefs
Sheena and Bob Beck, and wonderful fellowship.

Greetings and Salutations,
Our little chapter has been busy in the last few
weeks, and we have some hard work ahead of us if
we want to keep up the good work. In the plus
column we just initiated 3 new members! On the
downside, we have 28 members who are behind in
paying their dues. This is approximately one fifth of
our membership. We have an obligation to the
Grand Chapter, the Antioch-Brentwood Hall Asso-
ciation, and our members and require the support
of all to do our duty.
I’m not going to nag or preach. Let’s just take a
moment and revisit the Vision Statement of the
organization and remember why it is important:

Greetings from the fiery North!
Summer is just around the corner
and that means Relay for Life is
coming at full speed with it. Grab
your most comfortable walking
shoes, a few caffeinated drinks for
those late night hours, and a friend or two and join
our team. The Delta Stars Masonic Family RFL
team is ready to walk and raise money to fight
cancer at Los Medanos College from June 26th to the
27th. If you are interested you can become a Delta

If walking miles upon miles is not your specialty,
just come a do a few laps and spend some
time with the team. We need walkers for
all times of the day from the bright and
sunny afternoon to the cool, dark night.

42-Club News
The 42-Club is open to all members of Ariel
Chapter as your fundraising ways and means
committee. Upcoming events include preparing the
stated meeting dinners for the Antioch-Brentwood
Masonic Lodge, and attending the Oakland A’s
game on Saturday, August 7, that will include a
tailgate party and evening fireworks. Stay tuned for
more details, cost and reservation deadlines.

We are working hard to keep our members and Fast approaching is the annual “I’m Proud To Be
friends up-to-date on our activities. To help in this An American in 2010” Jam & Jelly Day at the
endeavor Jacquie has started a new Ariel Chapter Masonic Home in Union City, to be held on
blog with links to our chapter Yahoo! Group, Saturday, August 21 at
Google Docs, Grand Chapter of California, General 10:00am. Each of the 11
Grand Chapter, and the Antioch-Brentwood Lodge’s chapters in the East Bay
websites. Look us up and join us online. Association hosts a table (or
two or three) with special

Ariel Chapter will be hosting
Larry Coffin, Worthy Grand
Patron, and Sharon Jazwiecki, Grand Adah, and
their guests, as well as Grand Lodge officers and
Masonic Home residents.
The orgins of Jam & Jelly Day go back many
years to the days when Star members would pick
fruit from the local orchards and then spend the
2010 Calendar Updates day making jams and jellies. The Masonic Home
