ABSTRACT

Cement is the important material in the construction field. All cement manufacturers in
India producing ordinary Portland cement. In the cement manufacturing process there are
seven different types of fans are being used. More moving parts automatically generating
a vibration which is a problem for mechanical elements. It will create more problems for
the parts of the machine and also which decreases the efficiency of the plant. After the
raw grinding process, the cement particles having 90microns are allowed to go for next
stage that is preheater. Raw mill fan is used to absorb the cement particles of size 90
microns from raw grinding process and it is transferring those particles to the preheater.
We are given with the problem of to reduce the vibration in an axial direction and also
asked to provide another cooling system for raw mill fan. The oil used for cooling the
raw mill fan is not efficient because of cement particles mixed with oil. Hope our ideas
will give proper solutions for the above problems.
