    SEPTEMBER

    Justification by Month:
    August
    We see an 11% increase in August, mainly contributed from our trendier and higher quality
    product as we wisely use our profit from last year to invest in our product assortment. Back to
    School will be huge and continue to be a success from July into August and September.

    September
    This month will still be big for us this year, but see a smaller increase in sales compared to other
    months. That is because we will be saving our markdowns and deeper sales for October.
    September will be the month we try to make as many sales on our Back to School assortment at
    regular price before losing our margin on that product.

    October
    While September had a spike in sales last year, we plan to extend this success into October of
    this year. We allotted extra markdown dollars this month to boost clearance sales going into the
    holiday season.

    November
    November sees a drop from October as holiday shoppers took advantage of the sale of last
    month. We plan on having our last shipment of holiday newness this month to drive customers in
    to see the new assortment. This will be great for last minute shoppers looking for trendy items for
    gifting.

    December
    With brand new assortment of product we will continue to ride to success of November into
    December with even more last minute shoppers. Later in the month we will introduce an exciting
    new spring assortment to continue to interest our consumers with different styles and colors
    whether still shopping for gifts or for themselves.

    January
    While usually January we see a large decrease in sales after the holiday season, as well as the
    addition of return merchandise dollars, we hope to see less of a decrease this upcoming year. We
    are counting on our product assortment, and bringing the spring items out earlier to continue to
    drive through the end of this month.
