Dear Parent,
The annual special camp of the NSS Unit -10 is scheduled to be held from 04.12.2014 to
08.12.2014 at the University Campus. Your ward, who is one of the Volunteers of this unit, is
expected to attend the same. The Volunteer should stay for all the five days at the camp site.
Elaborate arrangements have been made for stay, food and camp activities. Kindly send your
ward to take part in the camp with the consent letter duly signed (attached). Please advise
your ward to strictly adhere to the following rules so as to make the Special camp a success in
letter and spirit.
All the rules relating to the dress code, general behavior and decorum in force in the
University Campus are applicable during the camp as well. In addition to this, the following
rules are to be followed.
PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES / BEHAVIOUR:
1. Using mobile phones between 8 am and 6 pm on all days and during activities that may
extend beyond these hours.
2. Bringing valuables like expensive mobile phones, gold ornaments, laptops, music
players, etc. (In case of loss of / damage to these items during camp, the Programme
officer or the University cannot be held responsible).
3. Taking photographs / videos of persons / events without prior permission from the
Programme officer.
4. Leaving the camp site / activity zones without permission.
5. Teasing / bullying / passing comments on the local residents.
6. Damaging the properties where the campers stay / conduct activities.
7. Non-compliance to the assigned duties / failing to report on time for activities.
8. Littering / polluting the camp site.
9. Entering / swimming in streams / wells / ponds / water bodies in the camping/ activity
sites.

Violation of the above will lead to the expulsion of the volunteer from the camp and
subsequent disciplinary action with intimation to the Parents, NSS Cell coordinator and the
Dean CEG.

THINGS TO BE BROUGHT TO THE CAMP

1. Bedding materials.
2. Bucket and mug.
3. Torch light.
4. Clothes appropriate to the number of days of stay.
5. Spare shoes / slippers.
6. Common medicines.
7. Toiletries.
8. Note pad, pen & Volunteer Diary.
9. Reusable water bottles.
10. Locks and keys for safe keeping of the luggage.
11. College ID Card & Cap.

Parents can visit their wards during the camp with prior intimation to the Programme
Officer. In case of any need to talk to your ward between 8 am and 6 pm during the camp,
