Dear Parent,

We are excited to announce that we are organizing Annual School Excursion which is scheduled
for 01-06-2023 to 05-06-2023 for Grade IX to XII. a school educational trip to Dharamshala (CAS
Program), one of the most beautiful and serene places in India. This trip is a great opportunity for you to
explore the natural beauty of the Himalayas, learn about Tibetan culture, and create some unforgettable
memories with your classmates.
CAS programs – CAS Trip is the core of the DP. CAS is designed to reinforce and extend students’
personal and interpersonal knowledge. CAS is organized around the three strands of creativity, activity
and service aims to encourage students to be well-informed, inquisitive, kind and empathetic, and to
increase inter cultural understanding, open-mindedness and the attitudes essential to evaluate a range of
viewpoints.

Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) is the core of the DP. CAS is designed to reinforce and extend
students’ personal and interpersonal knowledge. CAS is organized around the three strands of creativity,
activity and service defined as follows.

> Creativity — support discovery, exploration and extend thoughts leading to an original product or
performance.

> Activity — encourage physical hard work, contributing to a healthy lifestyle.

> Service — encourages collaborative and mutual commitments with the communities for authentic
needs.

Our programs / trips at the Eduroots Camp help the students with the completion of CAS learning. Through
our CAS trips, students accomplish demonstrating achievement of each learning outcome.

Tour Highlights:
➢ Interaction with Monks at Dalai Lama Temple.
➢ Short Trek to Baghsunath Temple & fall (Trek experience)
➢ Learn the local art and make a wide range of innovative products with waste Pine Needles.
➢ Undertake volunteer work and discussion with local villagers on various issues.
➢ Understand the Tibetan Wood Painting cultural art at at Norbulingka Institute.

ITINERARY
Delhi – Dharamshala (510 kms / approx. 14 hrs)

04:00 PM: Proceed for an overnight drive to Dharamshala

2 07:00 AM: Arrive Dharamshala and transfer to hotel. (normal
check-in time is 12:00 PM, early check-in is subject to room
availability)

01:00 PM: Lunch

02:00 PM: Proceed to McLeod Ganj, visit to Dalai Lama


Temple with an Interaction with Monks, following short trek
to Baghsunath Temple

06:30: Explore Mall Road and back to the hotel by 08:00 pm

08:30 PM: Dinner & Team building games.

09:00 AM: CAS Pine Needle Activity - The initiative was


undertaken with two objectives in mind — that of clearing the
forests of dry pine needles that catch fire very quickly and
prove a fire hazard; and to help women create handicraft that
would bring them an income of their own In our workshops,
we will demonstrate the entire process of collecting &
processing the needles and then the children will also be
engaged in finishing semi finished products made by the local
villagers and then buying the same from them helping in their
livelihood.

03:00 pm CAS Activity - Undertake volunteer work in our


special programs / projects - sanitation and water
conservation etc, take insights of local villagers.

07:00 PM: Back to hotel & Snacks.

10:30 AM: Board the coach to visit Norbulingka Institute -


One of the most important places for preserving Tibetan
cultural heritage.

01:00 PM: Lunch at Hotel Imperial Clarks-Inn

02:00 PM: Departure for an overnight drive to Delhi


06:00 pm Snack

09:00 PM: En-route dinner

10:00 PM: Further continue till Delhi.

The general guidelines to be noted are:

• Students of Grade IX to XII will be wearing Casual Dress throughout.


• Wearing Identity Card is compulsory for all the students
• Appropriate winter wear should be bought.
• Student teacher ratio of 1:10 will be maintained.

Accommodation on quad sharing basis, All the Sight and Transfer by Standard Hi Tech Coach, All
Meals – 04 Breakfasts, 04 Lunches and 04 Dinners; Entry Ticket for all Places.
Last date of submission the amount will be 07-05-2023 (it may close prior subject to availability of
seats, first comes first serve)

Do’s and Don’t’s:

1. Follow the rules, for e.g., do not walk around if you are not permitted to do so.
2. Carry expensive stuff is prohibited.
3. Don’t leave behind any litter and plastic bags are big hazards for animals.
4. Comfortable walking shoes are compulsory.
5. Anyone suffering from any disease like asthma, Hypertension please carries your medicine kit
etc
6. Any musical instrument like guitars, kango, mouth organ etc is not allowed.

Important Notes or Luggage Packing Advice:

1. Check in & Check out according to hotel/property policy.


2. Hotel room check before hotel room check in. (TV, AC remote and any other required item in
room)
3. Be time punctual to make your tour comfortable for you.
4. Behave like a professional in hotel, industry also.
5. Any damage caused by traveler to Transportation, Hotel property will charge by institute or
traveler.
6. Small Hand Bag - One shawl, eatable like biscuits, fruit cakes, soft drinks, chips, kukere,
homemade eatables, Torch, Cap, Muffler, Ipod, Camera, Handy Cam, Chargers, Gloves, jacket,
caps or any valuable things like jewelry, purse (at your own risk), medical kit etc.
7. Lock your rooms. While Leaving – Check the Door is Locked Properly.
8. Wear only sports shoes for extra comfort.
9. Do not allow any other student/participant enter into your room except roommate.
10. If any of your roommate is feeling sick or uncomfortable report immediately to your faculty or
tour manager.
11. Please make note of vehicle no and journey mentor.
12. Only Participants of Room allotted are held responsible for any Damage/Misused found at time of
check out
13. No One Allowed go alone anywhere with prior Permission of Trip In Charge (Teacher).
14. If you have any kind of medical problem. Please carry your medical kit.
