About the Department

Development was introduced in the year
2 0 11. This course focuses on t h e
Managerial Responsibility within the
students and the development of the
organization.
Since the inception, the department has

Guest Lectures and Expert Talks

An initiative taken by the Corporate

Liasoning Committee to interact with the
Corporate and invite specialists to share
their knowledge, expertise and real life
experiences with students. The students

Internships & Summer Placements

The internships focuses on core HR

domain during the first two semesters
and exposure to Od initiatives in the last
two semesters. The summer placements
and soft-skill courses are another
important components to hone the skills
of the student in becoming the successful
OD practitioner. B e s i d e s t h e s e t h e
students are exposed to social issues
through the extensive activites and they
also visit companies and industries of
other states as a part of their study tour.

Campus Placements

Another initiative by the college is the

campus placemetns. This take place in
the final semester. The Madras school of
social work has a placement office that
help the deserving students find their
companies through campus interview.
