General Instructions
1. This record book must be kept in good condition. Loss
of any of its contents may mean for future of credits
received.
2. This book will be handed in for progress reports as
and when required by the office incharge.
3. Work will be credited in the order set out. Deviation
from this will not be permitted.
4. Credit will not be given for any work carried out in
the laboratory.
5. No student will be permitted to proceed with his work
until his kit of instruments as prescribed in the official
list has been inspected by the office incharge.
6. No student shall proceed with any stage of any
particular item without having the previous stage of
that item checked.
7. All student must fulfill in the daily work chart at the
end of daily session.
8. Students are required to wear clean laboratory coats.
9. There will be 3 internal assessment test with the gap
of 3 months based on practical work only.
General Instructions
These instructions are to be carefully read by each student and
then signature appended.
Hours of Attendance:
Attendance in the laboratory will be accordance with the time
table.
Water and Electricity:
1. Care must be taken that these services are not unnecessarily
wasted.
2. Unnecessary wastage of water and electricity will not be
permitted.
3. All motors must be switched off immediately after use.
4. Failure to do not only wastes power, but frequently causes
overheating and burning out of the motor
Plaster Mixing and Trimming
1. The mixing and trimming of plaster at the laboratory bench is
not permitted. Plaster room in provided for this purpose.
2. Excess mixed plaster should be removed from the bowl and
placed in the plaster trap. It should not be thrown in the sink.
3. The plaster storage bins are provided with lids. These must be
kept closed, when not in use to maintain constant properties
of the material.
Equipment issued from the laboratory store
1. No student is permitted to enter the store.
2. Equipment borrowed from the college should be returned as
soon as possible.

2. Borrowing will be permitted. It is advised that lockers be
kept locked at all times when the student is actually at
the laboratory bench.
3. All instrument and equipment should be branded with
student initials or name.
