Objective: Students will say the letters of the alphabet. Students will list words in alphabetical order. Students will explore a
picture dictionary. Students will recall facts about the Big Dipper. Students will read a group of words and decide if those words
make a sentence. Students will reorganize words to make a complete sentence.
Bell Ringer: What is grammar? (How we use words to make sentences.)
Closure Activity: Using a complete sentence, tell your neighbor something that you brought to school today.

TUESDAY: Adventures in Language, Lesson 12 (Tasks A, B, C, & D)

Objective: . Students will recite the months of the year. Students will use the word fastest correctly in the sentence and identify
incorrect grammar while playing Catch the Teacher Making a Mistake. Students will edit sentences for correct grammar and
conventions, and choose the correct word to complete the sentence. Students will capitalize the word I.

Closure Activity: Tell a fact about the Big Dipper.

Closure Activity: Tell one fact about the Mona Lisa.
