NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM
FINAL REQUIREMENT-Disaster Mobilization Skills Training

1. What are the significant experiences you gained during the training?
I experienced and learned new things during the training. First is learning the CPR and
practicing it afterwards. I also experienced to be a victim. Secondly, the most exciting activity that day,
Rappelling. The trainers taught us how to put the rope on the lower part of the body and how to tie it
properly. Afterwards we proceeded into the ropes where we will be going down. It was scary at first
but it is fun when youre going down. Third, the man to man rescue. I was the leader back then so I
had to listen carefully and memorize the steps on how to properly rescue an injured person. It was
kind of awkward to work with other courses. Lastly, Bandaging. In bandaging you have to have your
partner so you have to practice on him/her. Unfortunately, I dont have a partner so I struggled to
practice on myself alone. It was pretty hard to practice it alone. At the end of the day the training was
fun.

2. As a student of NSTP, how can you apply the knowledge you gained to your
community?
As a student specially a medical student I can apply the knowledge I gained if I see anyone
who is injured and needs an assistance. Or if a disaster happened I will voluntarily lend my hand. I
will help the ones that needs help. I will apply everything I learned during the training if some of these
instances will come to happen in the mere future. I will also teach them the things Ive learned so that
they have knowledge about disaster management.

3. Do you recommend the same training to your fellow students? Why or why
not?
I highly recommend the training Ive experienced for every student because if in an instance a
disaster happened and there are many casualties then everyone who took the training will have a
knowledge about dos and donts during a disaster. In that case the casualties are likely to decrease
instead of increasing due to lack of knowledge or training about the disaster management
