Patient Mohamed Mansor Ebrahem underwent an eye exam on June 22, 2016 which found scattered blot hemorrhages in the right eye's posterior pole and an abnormal foveal reflex. Fluorescein angiography revealed a hyper-florescent lesion in the center of the foveal avascular zone that increased in size and brightness in late phases, along with areas of blocked fluorescence from retinal hemorrhages and mild hypo-perfusion of the optic nerve head. The impression was of active choroidal neovascularization in the right eye, with optical coherence tomography recommended to determine the level of activity.

Normal appearance of optic nerve head. Normal vascular tree. Scattered blot hemorrhages in the posterior pole Abnormal foveal reflex. Flourescein angiography of right eye revealed: Normal arm to retina time. Normal reinal and choroidal circulation. Hyper-florescent lesion in the center of the FAZ, filled in lacy pattern and fluoresce brightly in the late phase increase in size. Areas of blocked fluorescence due to retinal hemorrhages. Optic nerve head showed mild hypo-perfusion. Impression: A picture of right active CNV, OCT is recommended to determine activity. Best regards
