This course covers knowledge, skills and

It deals with good housekeeping and
safety, preparation of

ADMISSION TO THE PROGRAM
The students shall be admitted in Public Technical-Vocational High Schools
upon compliance with the following requirements/qualifications

Must have potential skill in any of the specialization of the


components of TVE as reflected in the High School
Occupational Interest Inventory (HSOII) results.
Must possess a desirable and healthy attitude towards skill
activity.
Must have passed interview and aptitude test.
Must submit the following documents upon enrolment.
- Form 138
- Parental consent for the students to undergo other related
activities outside the school.
- Medical Certificate is issued by a government physician.
- Certification of good moral character from the elementary
school principal.

This unit covers the knowledge,


skills and attitudes required to
service and repair high end cellular
mobile phones for MMS, radio,
bluetooth, infrared, camera, 3G and
software applications.

LO 2 Diagnose and analyze the defects found in a high-end

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA:
1. A customer is interviewed to determine the possible
causes of defects of a high end cellular phone.
2. Pre-testing of a cellular high end phone is performed in
accordance with the manufacturers manual.
3. Visual inspection in the internal components is
conducted for the possible defects.
4. Troubleshooting is performed in accordance with the
manufacturers manual.

LO 3 Maintain and repair a high-end cellular phone unit


ASSESSMENT CRITERIA:
1. Components are tested using appropriate tools and equipment
in accordance with the manufacturers service manual.
2. Defective parts/components are replaced according to the
troubleshooting manual.
3. The parts are properly handled in accordance with the
manufactures service manual.
4. The unit is cleaned in accordance with the manufacturers
service manual.
5. Safety precaution is observed in maintaining and repairing a
high-end cellular phone.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA:
1. Repaired unit is reassembled according to a given procedure.
2. Reassembled unit is subjected to final testing and cleaning in
conformity with the manufacturers specifications.
3. Service completion procedure and documentation are complied
with per manual of instruction.
