Dear Mr. Mulee:

Due to the prestige of the United Kingdoms universities, it is an honor for me to submit
my application for the 2016 - 2017 Ecuador Chevening Scholarship Award. I am a junior
industrial designer with five years of experience and a teacher who would welcome the
opportunity to develop academically in a masters program to contribute to the
productive matrix of Ecuador and build strong positive relationships with the UK.
The Chevening program is searching for leaders that can positively influence their society.
I fit with the profile due to my experience and life plan. The masters degrees that I have
applied offer me the tools that I need to achieve my career plans in toy design for
children with disabilities and other disorders. In addition, I am a true believer that leading
by example is the best way to achieve results. Therefore, in order to become a better
leader for my community I am searching for the best study program to develop my skills
and prepare myself to serve others. Indeed, I have received many awards for my
academic excellence, such as the Catholic University Scholarship (since third semester). I
have been involved in student organization as the Student Association president of my
faculty. Finally, I have worked with children at church and other organizations since I was
a teenager.
Passion guides my work. It is evident in my record of academic accomplishments and
extracurricular activities. For these reasons I am convinced that I am a good candidate for
this scholarship.
I am thankful for your consideration. I will wait for the opportunity to further talk to you
about my interest in this award.

Sincerely,

Isabel Heredia
