Dear 5th grade Parents,

Pink Palace: PLANETARIUM and IMAX

November 1, 2016

This year, the 5th grade will be going on a field trip to the Pink Palace. We will be going to the
Planetarium first to see Life: A Cosmic Story and then to the IMAX to see National Parks Adventure 3D.
We will be returning to the school to have a picnic lunch outside (weather permitting). The field trip will be
Tuesday, November 22nd, and the total cost per student will be $12.00, which covers admission to the
Planetarium, IMAX, and the cost for the bus. PLEASE SEND $12.00 ALONG WITH THE SIGNED
PERMISSION SLIP BELOW by Thursday, November 10th. We are very excited about this field trip, and
we think that the students will find it both educational and memorable!
All parents are welcome to join us for the IMAX movie, which starts at 11:00. Due to limited seating in the
Planetarium, parents will not be able to attend that show.

My child, ___________________________, has permission to ride the school bus to the Pink Palace for the 5th
grade field trip on Tuesday, November 22nd, from about 9:15 a.m. to about 1:00 p.m. I understand that the
$12.00 fee is nonrefundable.
______ I would like attend as a classroom chaperone for the IMAX ONLY; I understand that I will have to
provide my own transportation. Chaperones should meet us at the IMAX at 11:00. You will purchase your
ticket for the IMAX, upon arrival.
