Brief Biography

Prof. (Dr). M. K. Singh is an academician as well as administrator for more than 36 years. He
is a Professor with effect from 02.09.96 (20 Years as professor). Presently he is Head &
Dean, Faculty of Commerce ,University Department of Commerce & Business Management
and Director, University Department of Management ,VBU, Hazaribag (Jharkhand) . He has
completed his M.Com with 1st Class (1978) and Ph.D. (1984) from Bhagalpur University,
Bhagalpur, Bihar. Dr. Singh has more than 36 years of Academic & Research Experience .He
is a specialist in Human Resource Management and Accounting .He has more than 40
National and 10 International conferences to his credit. He has Honour of publishing many
Research articles in various reputed National and International journals. He has also authored
several books.
He has chaired and presented keynote addresses in various national and international
conferences in India and abroad. He is the member of various academic board and
associations. Dr Singh has Successfully organised as conference secretary, the 68th All India
commerce conference of Indian commerce Association in November 2015 on the theme
Make in India; The Road Ahead. Presently he is the President of Indian commerce
Association. He is also associated with various universities for academic and Research
activities. Dr. Singh is a Visionary, Architect cum Founder of University Department of
Management and University Law College, Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag.
He has recently visited Lycem University of Philippines, Manila to attend international
conference on Indian tourism and hospitality congress which was held on 29th to 31 July
2015.
His other competencies include working as the Controller of Examinations, Vinoba Bhave
University (2005-2009), Registrar NIT, Mizoram.
He has produced more than 10 Ph.D and has also six more enrolled candidates. He has
completed Major Research project of UGC on Eco-tourism in Jharkhand. At present he is
working as Project co-ordinator on a national project of Ministry of Tourism on the topic of
Social media influencing foreign tourist visiting India with special reference to Bodhgaya
and Rajgir He is member of various National as well as International professional Bodies .he
has been Awarded and honoured by institutions for his valuable contribution in the field of
commerce and management .
He has many Books and Articles to his credit. He is credited with performing the job of
Resource
Person
in
many
National
&
International
Conferences.
Dr. Singh is Visionary & Dynamic Person in his Academic and Professional life.
