Description of Activities

Sing a Welcome song. (4 minutes):


I will play a welcome song to the students to introduce the lesson and make focus with me.

Review the previous letters s, t, a. (6 minutes):


I will use presentation to review the letters with the students after that I will give them
activity which is find the letter between different letters.

Introduce the new lesson which is letter p. (5 minute)


I will play a jolly phonics song which is letter p song. After that I will ask the students which
sound they hear. I will repeat the sound with them and teach them the action of the letter. (I
will ask them to hold their finger as if it is a candle and pretend to puff it out and say the
sound of the letter p).

Activity 1: recognize the sound of the letter (p). (4 minutes)


I will play with the students a game which is when they hear the sound of the new letter they
will stand up and when they hear the sound of previous letter that they took it before the will
sit down.

Activity 2: recognize the sound of letter. (4 minutes)

The students will classify the letter p card between different letters.

Recognize the word that start by letter p. (3 minutes)


I will show to the students a pictures of things that start by letter p and its words.

Write the letter in the whiteboard. (3 minutes)


I will play a video about how to write letter p then I will write the letter in the whiteboard.
After that I will ask students to write a letter in the whiteboard.

Do the differentiation activities. (6 minutes)


High level: circle the pictures that start by letter p then write the letter p.
Medium level: find the letter p between the letters and write the letter p
Low level: write the letter by the clay.

Craftwork. (10 minutes)


The students will make the penguin by different materials.

Resources
Cardboard papers, colors, color papers, scissors, glue, pencils, papers, whiteboard markers and
different materials which help students to do the craftwork.

Teaching strategies

Ask questions.

Use different voice levels.

Give clear instructions for the students.
