CARD PROBLEMS

There are 52 cards . cards are of four suits (char tarah ke patte).
spades hearts , diamonds , clubs .
Four cards are non number cards out of 13 cards .These are Ace,king,Queen, jack
Problems
1. A card is drawn from a well shuffled pack of 52 cards. Find the probability of:
a non-face card
sol:total number of face cards =12
total number of sample spaces =52
probability=total no of outcomes/total no of sample spaces = 12/52=0.25
probability concepts
U is used for or where as is used for end condition.
Let us understand this by an example
Suppose a dices is tossed .find the probability that outcome is even number and greater
than 3?
Even no outcome -(2,4,6) outcome greater then 3 -(4,5,6)
U (OR )of these events {2,4,5,6}.
(AND) of these events is {4,6}

If A and B are mutually exclusive events in S, then ( U )=+()

If A and B are any (not necessarily mutually exclusive) events in S, then

( )=()+()( )
