Highly flammable liquids must be carried in containers which do not permit spillage, where any container is found
to be leaking or liable to leak for spill, it should be taken to a safe place and drained into another container.

Smoking must not be permitted where highly flammable liquids are present and a notice must be displayed to
this effect
The refilling must be done in an open air or well ventilated areas.

Only small amount of the chemical must be held at the worksite (enough for use)
Handling and disposal
Waste chemical must be disposed of in a safe manner under the control of a competent appointed person.

Suitable hazard information (MSDS) on the substance and must be provided to the persons handling or using

conducted by the Supervisor using HLG/HSE/FM/00266

Use of correct PPE such as impervious apron, gloves, eye protection and safety footwear should be complied.
Any contaminated PPE must be treated the same as contaminated waste and must be disposed off properly as
per the MSDS.
